I have a web page because I can. Some work has been "borrowed" from various sources and when possible credit will be given. My apologies to anyone whose work is used and whose name I have forgotten. To paraphrase Dick.Mac's paraphrase of a quote from Boy George about his music, "Motown had so many great ideas, why bother thinking up anything new."

I like creating pages and the sense of accomplishment that is a result. I like getting email from Spain, Italy, Turkey and Australia. I like the compliments and I listen, sometimes, to the criticism.

If you go through my site you will see some progression of work especially with design. My philosophy is less is more. I like clean pages and little clutter (that's a surprise if you ever see the continual clutter that surrounds me). I like a symmetry with a touch of asymmetry.

I'm self taught.  I started out using the free page builders that came with Netcom and Geocities.  I've used a couple of HTML programs but do prefer to use something like EditPad, a freeware text editor, for most work.  The exception is using FrontPage to work on table layouts.

PaintShop Pro is my graphics program.  Its what I know and what I am used to.  I recently got Photoshop and one of these days will learn to use it.

Thank God for people willing to share their work.  There are sites which offer advice, how-to instructions and scripts.  I've learned to fiddle with both javascript and CGI.

This year I got paid for a site.

As always a thank you to Dick Mac who encouraged me to get an account and make a page. The rest is history.

I hope you enjoy. Let me know.
